Anyone know when the squid come in and when the best

My friend caught a Yellowtail in La Jolla yesterday, upon examining the stomach contents, he discovered, squid and squid egg sacks. Sounds like some of the squid are already here

I did a night dive last September (a year ago) and we saw a pair of squid depositing egg sacks.
