Just did 1 tank dive today, the viz in the cove was 5 maybe 8 feet!
So, no cove dive this weekend. :( Water was ruff everywhere today,
the viz to the canyon was 8 to 10 feet. Once we dropped down in it
was around 15 or so, max depth was 65' feet, water temp was 59'f at
depth. We traveled north once we hit the wall and ran into a point
in the canyon, Large sheep head were crossing back and fourth from
the top of the point. Seen lots of stuff that I have no idea what it
was...Cool looking though! I do want to go back to the north side
of this point, very large holes in the side of the canyon as well as
things you don't see strait out off the east wall! We did think we spotted
a yellow tail but it vanished in the blink of an eye,I can see there being lots
of fish in this area when the water gets warm again. A plus side to this
point is that it faces towards the shore, so the light coming in makes
the viz a lot better! On the way back in the swells were a little larger
than normal and we pretty much were surfing and getting hammered
on the way in, great dive though! :hurray:
