LJS Tuesday 11/11

Nice day for a dive, went out to main point. Put in north of the boat launch, dropped just past the end of the pier. Viz was 3-5ft until you hit the slopes at about 40ft then it cleared to a nice 10-15. Temp at depth 55 brrr, It was nice and warm in my new xcel booties though. They are 30% off at OEX La Jolla. Many sizes available. I have had many many booties in my dive day, ha ha don't take that the wrong way:) anyhoo these are 5 mil cozy warm rock boots and I love them!!! OK ok back to the dive, so tide was going out when we put in at about 10am, waves 1-2 w/occasional 3footer. We maxed out at 63ft at the tippi top of the point then headed back into the shallows for some muck diving. Total dive time 45min. It was real nice out at the plateu and the point area though. Not too many pics came out today due to particulate and a lack of external flash. Oh well super duper diving though. Hopefully out again tomorrow, I gotta take advantage of this nice weather they are talkin about. Peace out bubble luvin fish huggers:)

OK so here's how to find them. You know next time you are out at the point poke your light into the deeper holes and voila! Always a fragile rainbow star sleeping the day away inside. Sometimes they are out like today but I mostly see them right at the point. Have you noticed all the brittle stars at the point? There are hundreds of arma sticking out every where. See my picture of the shrimp and look close to see many starfish arms waving at you. Are you guys headed out fri for a dive?

Hey thanks for the tip, I have to check it out!
Don't know on friday, I work at a busy smog shop
and I have thursdays and sundays off. I can go
both days but I have no dive buddies for this week
yet, I also need to go to OE and get a 3mm vest to
put under my suit! I got a pinnacle 5mm merino lined
suit and I am getting chills on my 2nd dive, hoping that
will fix it!
