Are Atomic regs the best. Seems like all the people who dive the most have them.

Atomic regs are really nice but Sherwood has a new one a buddy just got called the SR1, worth checking out. Much different than the stuff Sherwood has been putting out the last few years. Supposed to breathe as well as the Atomic line. Looks as good for sure. Anyone else dive an SR1?

Why would you want to buy a Atomic Knock-off, the the price you can get a B2 with a 2nd stage swivel , titanium valve body . I would put my money on Atomic !
Plus they make it its not OEM by someone else than they slap there name on it. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I don't disagree. I hear though the SR1 is a cool reg, at least Sherwood's tryin! I guess it's like why buy a $100,000 Toyota, huh?

I just got done reading the users manual (downloaded it )
it has to be deadicated to Nitrox , means you can't switch back and forth (pg6)
It not self-adjusting like Atomic, you have pre dive ADJ and post dive ADJ
the "lifetime" warranty has all kinds of conditions that void it if you don't do what they want. I so hate that
the part that killed me was "metal parts with mild corrosion from exposure to seawater " excludes it from warranty so does this mean I can only dive fresh water it keep it in warranty ?
Just asking :cheers2:

Interesting, thanks for the info. Always good to read the fine print. Though I've found that Sherwoods pretty good with the customer service thing in my experience, even outside warranty stuff if you beg and plead or threaten...
