Squid??????

any squid showing up in the dives at LJ, I heard there were some big Humboldt showing up in the fish counts the last couple of weeks on the day boats

I did see a squid today but it certainly was NOT a humbolt, thank goodness. First I peed my wet suit in fright then I focased on the size and relaxed a little. All that humbolt squid talk, as soon as my brain registered it was a squid I instantly thought hubolt for a second anyway. That reminds me do you know what time of year the squid run is at the shores?

There were a few good sightings from some locals just b/4 the holidays which seemed like the start of a pretty good run. That big swell at the end of December probably washed a lot of them out though because I have only seen single egg sacks here and there. I have not seen any impressive egg-sack-bunches this year. I have seen a lot of the larger mammals that feed on them though so they're probably out there.
