Captain Ryan and my girl Dena and I headed out to the Yukon yesterday. Despite red tide and no sunshine we had a great dive. We made our descent down the guns buoy and just cruised around past the guns for awhile then back towards the wheel house. It was pretty dark down there yesterday so good thing for good lights. The temp was 61 on the surface and 48 on the wreck. Max depth 90ft average depth 85ft. Not much surge and current very mild near the tower. My pal Dena found a whole bunch of hermissenda crassicornis on the filter. I think they were having a little meeting:) The viz was pretty good I would say 10ft at least. I think the white plumed anemones are on steroids, I have never ones so big. Blankets of club tipped anemones are a magical sight as well. I can't wait until the humboldt gets going(our new boat) so I can visit this paradise more and more. Does anyone have a favorite part of the Yukon I should know about? I am still finding my way around. Cheers to any advice on the best parts to see:) And a special thanks to captain Ryan for showing me around. you rock!
