What do you do when you realy have a dweeb on your hands when your about to take them on a dive?? Pray, cancel it, or a 10FT dive. I use to DM in warm weather climates and can't imagine some people who would do well in a 7mm suit with these conditions. :patriot:
Better you then me:D

Unfortunately dweebs can come with the territory. I remember my instructor exam up in Laguna and pushing two warm water instructor candidates through the waves who were flailing in 1-2 foot surf. The DMs in these parts practice PATIENCE my friend.

Yeah I bet I would go:willy_nilly: I was listening in on a guy from OEX doing a briefing before there dive. I know the guy was not from around here that he was guiding and he laid it out perfect to the dude. Explained that diving here is a bit more challenging but thats what makes it so rewarding. Could not have put it better myself.:cheers2:

You have to be patient and remember that you will run into these folks on occasion. I have been a DM for 15 years now - seen plenty of questionable people putting on the gear. Sometimes it just takes some one on one attention to really get it across, sometimes you need to keep a sharp eye on them and really guide them (by the hand). At the end of the day, if you have someone who will not listen and will not be safe - it's time to call it a day. Better that than the alternative - I will say that I have NEVER seen anyone that bad.....
