Great dive at the shores today. Put in just north of the the boat launch and swam out to the end of the pier. Swam through then sand dollar forrest to edge of the north wall at 50ft. Cruised north until wall petered out then headed down the slope to max out at 80ft. At this point we hightailed it in a south direction looking for some action. We found it!! An octopuss decided we were interesting and sent his tentacles out of his hole to feel our hands and cameras. It was so cool how curious he was feeling around our fingers trying to figure out what we were made of. Two male bat rays feeding in the sand, one ginormous moonsnail, one pipefish, a lark brown rock crab, and a few nudibranchs. Viz a bit murky in the shallows but ok at depth about 10-15. Waves 1-2 feet, surge mild. Total dive time 55 minutes of thrills. The shores never dissappoints!! Picture of giant moon snail to follow, cheers Karma Jewell:)
