So we got enough people to go. It rocked. For the ride out, the sun was shining and the surface was glass. First spot was Keyhole. Anchored in 50 to 60 ft of water and you could see the bottom. Surge and current near the keyhole was monsterous, almost got sucked into the hole. Temp was constant top to bottom 56-58. Lots of bigger fish, kelp bass and sheephead, bigger meaning 2ft+.
Jumped over to lobstershack for 2 and 3, vis was easily as good until the cloud cover came in. I did both dives with a scooter and just cruised all over the place. On both dives had sea lions coming to see what all the noise was about. Really cool to be able to move a little more like them while in the water. Almost like playing a game of tag. Saw the usual suspects. Eels, Sunstars, and Garibaldies oh yeah. Really dig this dive site with the mini walls at the north end.
We got headed home just in time as the storm was following us in. As I have said before, a spectacular day.
Thanks Waterhorse, Greg, and Anita.
