3 Tank Nods
Ok So I finally got to get wet in the new year. 3 Tank trip to the Nods on the Humboldt. Trip out rocked. Whales and Dolphins and Navy Boats: oh my. Ok nough of the BS.
First two at Lobster Shack. Above 30 ft had maybe 15, below 35 had up to 25. So not completely bad. Temp was 55 top to bottom. Lots of eels out and about today. Sea Lions were there but the fun in the shallows was pretty limited by vis. Has a little dude that wanted to check out the boat, he jumped up on the swim step three times. Anita and he seemed to be bonding. Got the stink eye and a couple of charges from the big bull, must be getting close to romance time. Took some divers out to see the cabin cruiser wreck, the top awning was taken off in the last storms and in sitting behind the wreck.
Third dive was Three Fingers. Pretty surgy, low vis. temp was comfortable. Hooked up with four other divers and we took a pretty good tour. Best thing about low vis is it makes you get your head down in the rocks and see who is home.
All in all as usual was a spectacular time. Met some new dive buddies and look forward to getting wet with them again. Ryan, Anita, and the entire Waterhorse charters group, as usual rocked.
Hopefully our crystal clear will come back some day, but hey if you didnt have so so days then those crystal days wouldn't be so special.
Get on the boat.
